What is the weight capacity of this chair?

The chair supports up to 160kg. This is achieved through the reinforced metal frame, reinforced base and upgraded class-4 gas lift, which are built to handle heavier loads than a standard office chair.

How does the massage function work?

The chair has 4 massage points located in the waist and back area. A controller lets you choose from 8 massage modes, adjust the strength and set a timer. The massage motor is mains powered, so it needs to be plugged in to work.

What angles can the backrest recline to?

The backrest adjusts between 110° and 130° using a reclining lever. There are three lockable angles at 110°, 115° and 130°, which let you fix the backrest at a specific position rather than having it free-floating.

Is assembly difficult?

Assembly is required and instructions are included in the box. Customer feedback is mixed here. Some people find it straightforward and finish in around 30 minutes, while others find certain steps, such as fitting bolts into the rear backrest, fiddly. Costway recommends assembling with 2 people.

Can the seat height be adjusted?

Yes. The seat height adjusts from 50cm to 57cm using the gas lift mechanism. This range suits most adult body types, though very tall users may find the seat sits a bit high or the footrest a bit short.

Does the chair swivel?

Yes, the chair has a 360° swivel base. This lets you turn freely to reach different parts of a desk or turn to talk to someone without standing up.

What is the chair made from?

The surface is PU leather over a faux leather seat covering. The padding inside uses high-density sponge for support and the frame is metal. The PU leather is designed to be wear-resistant and breathable and can be wiped clean.

Does it come with a headrest?

Yes, a removable headrest is included. It can be taken off if not needed, though some customers with a shorter frame have found the headrest sits too low and prefer to remove it.
